1984 NFL Week 5: Lions @ Chargers

Sunday September 30, 1984. Detroit (1-3) at San Diego (2-2). CBS: Jim Hill, John Dockery. Starting backfields: DET - Gary Danielson, Billy Sims, James Jones. SD - Dan Fouts, Earnest Jackson. Recording source: KFMB 8 San Diego. A couple choppy moments in the third quarter, but overall pretty good. Because the game was played early in the year on a shared field with the Padres, the dirt infield is still in place. Earnest Jackson started at running back for the San Diego in their one-back offense, but Buford McGee and Lionel 'Little Train' James also saw a lot of action for the Chargers.
