IML application for medical technology

https://www.arburg.com – Using centrifuge tubes with labels as an example, ARBURG unveiled an innovative IML application with added value for the pharmaceutical industry and medical technology at Fakuma 2023. An electric ALLROUNDER 520 A "Ultimate", is designed for fast and demanding processes such as thin-wall applications. An 8-cavity mould from KEBO is used to produce 15-millilitre tubes made of PP. A label applicator head from Beck is used to apply the labels, while optical control is carried out via a camera system from Intravis. With the application, attention was also paid to a low carbon footprint, energy efficiency and a compact production cell. IML-Anwendung für die Medizintechnik https://www.arburg.com – Am Beispiel gelabelter Zentrifugenröhrchen präsentierte ARBURG auf der Fakuma 2023 erstmals eine innovative IML-Anwendung mit Mehrwert für die Pharmaindustrie und Medizintechnik. Ein elektrischer ALLROUNDER 520 A „Ultimate“, ist für schnelle und anspruchsvolle Prozesse wie z. B. Dünnwandanwendungen ausgelegt. Mit einem 8-fach-Werkzeug von KEBO werden je 15 Milliliter fassende Röhrchen aus PP gefertigt. Zum Aufbringen der Labels kommt ein Label-Verstellkopf von Beck zum Einsatz, die optische Kontrolle erfolgt über ein Kamerasystem von Intravis. Bei der Anwendung wurde zudem Augenmerk auf einen geringen CO2-Fußabdruck, Energieeffizienz und eine kompakte Produktionszelle gelegt.
