A Race for Water: Inside the Daily Struggle at Moremi Hall

Every morning before sunrise, residents of Moremi Hostel begin a race against time. With water available for only a limited period, students wake as early as 5:00 a.m., queue with buckets, and rush to fetch enough water to meet their daily needs. For many, this routine has become an unavoidable part of hostel life. In this report, ACJOAU documents the realities of water access at Moremi Hostel through firsthand accounts from residents and on-the-ground observations. ACJOAU also sought an official response from the Hall Executive, Itunuoluwa Dorcas Ogunbayo , who maintained that there is no water scarcity in the hostel but declined to grant an on-camera interview.
