BHX has an official viewing 'bus-stop' alongside the runway in a Long - Term Car-Park, comprising a couple of wooded bench & table combo with a bus shelter as the only facilities! No drinks, food or toilet and, in reality. no protection. Take that as it isn't used by many, but it does keep the sun behind you until midday, then it is in your face, but you can get very close to those leaving the terminal area for runway 33. With the runway extention being directly in front of you over a chain-link fence. That means anything lining up for a 'Sierra' departure on runway 33 puts everything simply there. The majority of the regulars use the old Elmdon Terminal and the associated Multi-Storey Car-Park, but, and everything has a but. The top floor has been closed to motor vehicles for years, with chains being added to the access stairs to stop foot ponding visitors gaining access as and when the management choice. (It now has ANPR cameras for vehicluar access and isn't the cheapest place to spend more than 1hr 58mins as the local Uber drivers use it as their waiting point so it's condition is as found) Anyway, when these images were taken - it was a free to use, top floor viewing place that had almost unbeatable views across the whole airfield. As normal though, no facilities available, so either a quick walk to the nearby Hotel toilets or a jump into the car and a drive to get sorted.
