Since the Lakers won their third straight title in 2002, eight teams in America's four biggest leagues have won two titles in a row. All eight failed at the third. One was losing the Super Bowl 24-0 at half-time. One lost two stars to injury in two straight Finals games. One didn't even make the playoffs. This October the Los Angeles Dodgers are trying to be the first team off that list. Here's every three-peat attempt since 2002, and exactly how each one ended, every number checked.
