New York Philharmonic "Apprentice" Violin Outfit (NYP500) — Serial #PC11122401
The New York Philharmonic Apprentice is a step-up violin made by the New York Stringed Instrument Company in partnership with the New York Philharmonic. It's built for students who have outgrown their first rental or beginner instrument and need a violin that won't hold back their progress. The body follows Stradivari's golden-period pattern. Each instrument goes through several rounds of inspection and play-testing before it leaves the maker, and Philharmonic musicians evaluated the line during development.
The result is a rich, even tone with real projection. It's a strong choice for youth orchestra, all-region auditions, or serious private study.

Questions are welcome. We're happy to send more photos or a sound clip, or to answer setup questions before you buy. Harvard House Music has repaired and sold orchestral, band, and fretted instruments in Fresno since 1983, and we check every instrument we list before it ships. If you're in the Fresno area, our showroom is open during the week, and you're welcome to come in and play our instruments for sale in person.
Shipping: Packed in a fitted box with the case inside, tracked and insured. The soundpost can shift in transit, so we recommend a check-up with a local luthier after unboxing.
