*Is AI actually replacing software developers — or is it changing what being a developer means?* Kya hum khud AI ko apni replacement banna sikha rahe hain? As a software developer, I’ve been thinking about this question for a while. AI coding tools have moved far beyond simple autocomplete and code suggestions. Tools like *Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and AI coding agents* can now understand large codebases, work across files, implement features, fix issues, run tests and even prepare pull requests. So the real question is no longer: *“Can AI write code?”* The question is: *“How much of software development can AI actually handle?”* In this video, we’ll look at what is happening inside software development right now — from AI usage tracking inside companies to the rapid adoption of coding agents — and what this could mean for developers. In this video: 00:00 Intro — Is Coding Still Safe? 00:52 AI Usage Tracking in Companies 06:22 How AI Coding Has Changed 09:30 The Shift Toward Agentic Development 10:47 What Happens to Developers Next? The bigger shift Earlier, AI was helping developers **write code**. Now we're increasingly moving toward: *“Here’s the task. Understand the codebase and do the work.”* And that changes the role of a developer. Maybe the future developer isn't simply the person who can write the most code manually. Maybe it's the developer who can *use AI effectively, understand software architecture, make the right technical decisions, and verify whether the AI actually did the job correctly.* This is not a prediction that developers will suddenly disappear. It’s a discussion about how *AI, coding agents and Agentic AI are changing software development* — and why developers should pay attention. 📌 *PART 2:* I’ll break down a complete **Agentic Software Development workflow**: *Human → Orchestrator → AI Agents → Code → Review → Testing → PR* And we'll explore the bigger question: *If AI handles more of the coding, what should developers actually learn next?* --- 💬 *What do you think?* Are AI coding agents making developers more productive — or are we slowly training AI to replace parts of our own jobs? Drop your thoughts in the comments. If you're a *.NET / C# developer, software engineer, or someone learning AI and Agentic AI**, subscribe to **Code2Deploy* for practical discussions, tutorials and real-world AI development. --- Sources / Research Mentioned JetBrains — AI Coding Agents: Adoption Trends (2026) https://blog.jetbrains.com/research/2...
