Lash La Rue — Sound System Lineage & The Voices That Built Us

Tonight on the Big & Serious Podcast, Angie Goodaz sits down with Lash La Rue — selector, recording artist, and a man rooted deep in sound system lineage. It’s been a heavy weekend for the culture: the passing of Mighty Sparrow, the celebration of the third RNMA, and the transition of Lt. Stitchie — all within three days. So tonight, we honour the foundation, celebrate the present, and shine a light on the future. Lash La Rue shares his journey through music, community, and the sound system tradition that carried voices like Sparrow and Stitchie across generations. We run a four song sampler from his catalogue, pay tribute to two Caribbean giants, and premiere brand new music from Likkle Wayne. It’s legacy, lineage, and forward motion — all wrapped in one steady, grounded episode. #BigAndSeriousPodcast #CaribbeanMusicCulture #SoundSystemLegacy #MightySparrowTribute #LtStitchieFoundation Big & Serious Podcast, Angie Goodaz, Lash La Rue interview, Mighty Sparrow tribute, Lt Stitchie tribute, Caribbean music podcast, Sound system culture, Dancehall foundation, Calypso legend Mighty Sparrow, Lt Stitchie Great Ambition, Obeah Wedding Mighty Sparrow, Reggae Dancehall podcast, Caribbean legacy music, RNMA 2026, World premiere Bad Like Yaze, Likkle Wayne Bad Like Yaze, Toronto Caribbean media, Caribbean storytelling podcast, Selector interview, Caribbean culture commentary
