Broadway’s legendary luminaries and bright rising stars lit up the storied Gershwin Theatre on March 10, 2025, as Broadway Backwards delivered powerhouse performances celebrating LGBTQ+ love, the strength of community and the boundless power of hope. One of Broadway’s buzziest stars, Joy Woods foretold her own lovely LGBTQ+ love story with a captivating rendition of “How It Ends” from Big Fish. Broadway Backwards Creator Robert Bartley served as director, writer and choreographer. "How it Ends" was orchestrated by Greg Anthony Rassen and conducted by Mary-Mitchell Campbell . The show raised a record $1,111,788 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center (The Center) in New York City.
