The Lion Sleeps Tonight - Orff and Boomwhackers

This is a sample video of an arrangement for Orff instruments, Boomwhackers, and Percussion. In this version the song is played in straight time instead of the usual swing time. I have found playing it straight helps elementary students stay together much better than swing feel. The Boomwhackers are layered in at the beginning, followed by the percussion and accompaniment parts. Finally the melody joins in.
