Spreading the Light of Gurbani - Nirmal Ashram Gurbani Shiksha Kendra, Rishikesh (NGSK)

Nirmal Ashram Gurbani Shiksha Kendra, Rishikesh, was founded on 3rd September 2020 with the grace of Brahmgyani Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj. This initiative offers online learning opportunities for everyone eager to learn Gurmukhi and begin their journey in Gurbani Santhya, the practice of reading and understanding Gurbani. ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਇਸੁ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥੧॥ Gurbani is the Light to illuminate this world; by His Grace, it comes to abide within the mind. ||1|| This is the source, the Word, as well as the Vastu that resides in us as our very soul. NGSK was started by Brahmgyani Mahant Baba Ram Singh Ji Maharaj to inspire the sangat and all spiritual seekers across the globe to stay connected with the voice of the soul and deeply connect with God through the teachings which have come to us directly from the Gurus and The Bhagat Jan in the sacred form of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The mission of NGSK is to serve the sangat by helping them read Gurbani correctly—with the proper pronunciation, paying attention to pauses, and reading it with love and devotion in the heart. The ultimate purpose of human birth is to merge with the One Lord. NGSK is that medium, that glorious path that has been paved by our Beloved Guru, Maharaj Ji—a true gift that has been bestowed upon us all so that we may reach this goal. As of the 4th anniversary on September 3rd, 2024, NGSK has achieved significant milestones: *Global Online Reach*: The online platform is accessible worldwide, spanning 17 countries. *Enrolled Students*: We have over 1,050 enrolled students. *Teachers*: More than 80 dedicated teachers who serve the community. *Diverse Age Range*: The youngest students are 4 years old, and the oldest are in their 90s, reflecting that Gurbani is eternal and timeless and accessible to all. *Sahaj Paath Aarambhs*: Since its inception, there have been over 400 Sahaj Paath Aarambhs. For most students, the NGSK sessions have become a vital part of their spiritual routine. Starting with learning Gurmukhi and moving on to recite Japji Sahib, Sukhmani Sahib, and other sacred texts, numerous participants are currently engaged in their third or fourth Sahaj Paath, continuing their spiritual journey as a daily practice. Words do not suffice to express the gratitude we carry in our hearts for our Beloved Guru, Maharaj Ji, and all the Saints of Nirmal Ashram Rishikesh, whose ever-present sacred vibrations and blessings are the only reason we are able to participate in this sewa.
