It's that time of year when spring is almost at an end and some photographer's start to shy away from woodland as the vibrant green cloak of summer begins to engulf the overstory and understory. Personally, I very much enjoy June and the feelings of vitality and softness it brings. Historically, I favoured the wet and murky days of summer but I'm spending a lot more time embracing the warming sunlight, clear dry days, and the challenges they may bring. After over a week out of action, this was a great evening wander in my project oak woodland. Good exercise, beautiful surrounding, fun times for Meg, successful compositions and new potential discovered. When woodland photography is your passion, it's very much an all the year round pursuit. I hope you enjoy this episode and find some value in the discussions around composition and light.
