Watch and learn... My play is not uber honed and still has shortcomings. This fight can be very consistently beaten solo. Yes, it literally may cause so much sweat that you have to shower after every 1 or 2 attempts. That is normal and lowering the temperature in your room truly helps. If the strat from the video and the below tips are not enough, then maybe watch attacks and responses to them more closely (both in videos as deliberate lower-stress study, and then during real hunts), configure radial item wheels better if not similar, and then just practice a bit more. I went from timing out at 35’00” in the final phase with a defensive build, to clearing like this pretty quickly. If you are at 100+ hunts or something, try stepping away and breathing, consider things more deliberately, and try solo + support over matchmaking (SOS Flares are constant deaths into quest failure, even on normal still after 1 week out). I have 13 total clears only (INCLUDING normal), with 4 of them being Savage solo + support, consecutively winning (no solo loss in-between). SnS shield can be insanely strong, so work on using it, and just run for MRV sequences. This is my 4th solo + support hunters Savage Omega clear in a row, with no failures in-between, all basically using this samebuild and setup (1st was technically with fire DB instead of LBG). Generally, stay close and keep doing damage with low animation commitments. Thunder Pods can also interrupt stuff like beam attacks and some other attacks if needed. Similarly, Rockburst Pods can knock a lunging Nerscylla Clone out of the air for an opening, but I didn’t really take advantage of that in this run. The LBG's paralysis and fire ammo should consistently clear Nerscylla Clone even with suboptimal play. Just try to stack buffs, Corrupted Mantle, and Mog of Ages into that phase like I've done, and that should take care of it. There are also probably more optimal LBG decos: Blaze/Opener, Paralyzer (2), Bandolier (1) SnS is very comfy for this fight, overall. Lots of uptime and lots of punishment avoidance. Additional notes: If your Alessa isn’t holding aggro as much, go hit the head a bit. It’s an excellent hitzone for damage, and you can dodge forward to make the HP penalty orb break on Omega’s own shell to cancel it. Alessa should then regain aggro shortly after doing this a little. Audio cues are also huge for missiles, etc. Get used to listening for them. When someone else is getting targeted by Mustard Bomb, it’s a great time for Pictomancy. Seikrets/Chocobos don’t take damage from the lingering Mustard Bomb fire (only initial impacts). You can possibly use this to stack fire regions onto the same spot. My camera shaking is a result of using gyro controls in focus mode with a Dualsense. It helps immensely with camera microadjustments, and it also is basically an already existing solution to complaints about IG controls (but other weapons can also similarly benefit). My fingers stay free to spam or react at key times thanks to it. Regarding mounting, I did deliberately refrain until Omega was skulled, to be able to guarantee a head wound for the final phase. Be sure to check your settings and have mounting disabled for support hunters, as well. Seems Falling Bash should be okay though as apparently it deals no mounting damage. My item loadout was meant to be: Might Pill, Soul of the Pictomancer/Pom Motif, Cleanser, Farcaster (maybe save a cart), Wild Jerky, Immunizer, Catalyst, Mandragora, Max Potion, Godbug Essence, Hot Drink, Honey, Potion, Mega Potion, Armorcharm + Powercharm, Adamant Pill (instead of Dust of Life), Hardshell Powder, Adamant Seed, Demon Powder, Might Seed And yeah, my rng charm probably is relatively nice for this fight as well… I’d probably go with a pure Thunder Res charm if having to select from the non-rng options. (My Hunter ID is SL8S46SV for my main and BU9NR5TJ for my alt, for anyone wanting to send a friend request and try running stuff together, etc.) Sword and Shield Light Bowgun Planetes Protocol (Savage) Monster Hunter Wilds 片手剣 ライトボウガン 零式オメガプラネテス モンスターハンターワイルズ Captured on PS5 Pro natively (Performance Mode)
