What is our core? In this film, I take you through the final stage of creating The Core — from the last layers of glaze to the fire of the kiln and the finished ceramic sculpture. There is no talking in this video. Instead, I invite you to slow down and experience the process through movement, texture, colour, music and fire. The Core is part of a larger ceramic art project in which I explore the Five Phases of transformation through sculpture. Each work is an exploration of something we carry within us — movement, change, balance, strength, vulnerability and the forces that shape us. I am interested in the place where art, nature, body and reflection meet. The sculptures are not meant to give you an answer. They are meant to make you pause. To look.
