Let me tell you a little about Imani. Imani is the daughter of Memba—who was a childhood friend of Winston. She was born at the San Diego Zoo on October 16, 1995. Her father was Memba, and her mother was Kimba-Kumba. Since Jessica was Memba's mate at the time of Imani's birth, she is like an aunt to Imani. While Jessica raised her own offspring, Imani was raised by a surrogate mother named Alvira; because she was bottle-fed, she never experienced the maternal bond with her biological mother. Nevertheless, Imani adopted and raised Frank, the son of Paul. Unfortunately, she did not conceive any offspring with Paul, and she later became Winston's mate. She then gave birth to a daughter, Joanne, via Caesarean section. Imani was only twelve years old when she adopted Frank. Despite having no prior experience with childbirth or child-rearing, she took on the task of raising her younger sister Azizi's baby. Imani would hold Frank close and refuse to let go; however, since she could not nurse him, he was bottle-fed by the zookeepers. After the keepers fed him and returned him to her, Imani would continue to cradle him tenderly. Imani is truly an exceptional gorilla with strong maternal instincts. I am overjoyed that Imani—who loves babies so much—was blessed with a child of her own, Joanne. Since Imani has already undergone a Caesarean section, it is unlikely she will participate in breeding in the future. It is truly a shame, given how much she loves babies. If there were ever a baby that had been rejected by its mother, Imani would surely take it in. By the way, Frank currently weighs about 400 pounds, while Monroe weighs 417 pounds. Monroe has become bigger than Frank. ここでイマニの事を少し説明します。 イマニはメンバというウィンストンの幼馴染の娘です。 イマニは１０月１６日　1995年にサンディエゴ動物園で生まれています。 父親はメンバで母親はキンバクンバです。 イマニが生まれる際、ジェシカはメンバのお嫁さんでしたので、イマニにとってジェシカ伯母のような存在です。 ジェシカは自分の子供の育児をしましたが　イマニは代理母親のアルビラに育ててもらっており　哺乳瓶で育っているので実の母親との愛情関係は経験していません。 それでもイマニはポールの息子、フランクを養子にして育てました。ポールとの間では残念ながら子供に恵まれず、その後ウィンストンのところに嫁ぎました。 そしてウィンストンとの娘、ジョアンを帝王切開で生みました。 イマニはフランクを養子にした時　僅か１２歳でした。　出産も育児の経験もないイマニが妹のアジジの赤ちゃんを育てました。 イマニはフランクを抱いて離さずにいましたが、授乳はもちろん出来ませんでしたので　フランクは飼育員さんによって哺乳瓶で育ちました。 飼育員さんがミルクをあげてイマニにフランクを戻すとイマニは大事にずっとフランクを抱いていました。 イマニは母性本能の強い　優秀なゴリラと言えるでしょう。 赤ちゃんの大好きなイマニが一人子のジョアンに恵まれ本当に嬉しいです。 イマニは一度帝王切開をしているので今後繁殖に参加するのは難しいでしょう。 イマニは赤ちゃんが大好きなので本当に残念です。　もしも育児放棄されたベビーがどこかにいるなら　イマニはきっと受け入れるでしょう。 ちなみにフランクは現在約４００パウンドあり、モンローは４１７パウンドあるそうです。　モンローのほうがフランクより大きくなりました。
