The king tide flooding in Florida is not letting go. The tide gauge at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale stayed above its old record four days in a row, Monday through Thursday, and the Lake Worth Pier gauge in Palm Beach stayed above its Hurricane Nicole record for the same four days, according to preliminary NOAA data. Las Olas Boulevard closed again, seawater came over the seawalls in Fort Lauderdale and Miami Beach, and the Hollywood Broadwalk flooded. In the Florida Keys, Key West climbed to about 2.4 feet above the normal high tide on Wednesday night, past the major flood level, and streets in Key Largo's Stillwright Point sat under nearly 18 inches of saltwater. The next round of high tides starts November 6. Figures as of Thursday, October 29, 2026.
