The National Rundown Ep. 17 | CFL Labour Day Fallout & CEBL’s NBA Pipeline

Labour Day Weekend has arrived, and the CFL playoff picture is only getting more interesting. On Episode 17 of The National Rundown, Geono Aloisio and Brady Locke break down the first Labour Day action, Montreal officially clinching a playoff berth and the importance of this week’s rivalry games — especially with several of the same teams meeting again next week. The guys take a deeper look at Winnipeg and ask whether the Blue Bombers are becoming a legitimate threat, whether Brady has underestimated them and when Saskatchewan fans should start getting concerned if the Riders stumble during the Labour Day stretch. Plus, could the increasingly crowded West Division eventually have teams thinking about the crossover and their potential path through the playoffs? Then, attention turns to the CEBL. Geono breaks down several players earning NBA opportunities, including Jarkel Joiner, Trey Townsend and Jameer Nelson Jr., Marcus Carr’s strong showing with Canada and what it means for the league.
