Located near Exeter, Crealy Theme Park & Resort is the largest theme park in Devon and features more than 60 rides and attractions including rollercoasters, water rides, indoor play areas and animal experiences. The park first opened in 1989 and is operated by Maximum Fun Devon Limited, attracting families from across Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset. One of the most popular areas of the park is Sooty Land, based on the long running British television characters Sooty, Sweep and Soo. The land features Sooty’s Magic Bus, Sweep’s Flying Circus, Soo’s Sweet Balloon Ride and Izzy Wizzy Let’s Get Dizzy, alongside Sooty’s Big Top Showtime and an indoor pier building packed with themed attractions, games and dining. Later in 2026 Crealy will introduce two major new rides to the park. Pirate’s Plummet, formerly Magma at Paultons Park, is being rethemed to fit the pirate area and will become the tallest ride in the South West once open. Rotor, a Zamperla Air Race attraction with a steampunk theme located next to Sooty’s Big Top Showtime, will add a brand new aerial ride experience to the park. Whether you choose a Havens caravan, a luxury lodge with hot tub or a glamping stay in the Devon countryside, Crealy Resort combines family accommodation with direct access to one of the South West’s most popular theme parks.
