Episode 93: My Picks of the Week + Aerosmith, Slash & Turnstile News | Amplified w/Darby

I couldn’t choose just one new rock/metal Pick of the Week this time, so I picked two. One is from a band I’d never heard before this weekend, and the other is a record that kept making me stop and wonder what the hell I was listening to—in the best possible way. I’ve also got a beautifully dark record I’ve talked about before, plus a Not-Rock Pick from a duo whose backstory somehow involves busking, traveling with a circus and a professional sculptor. Of course it does. Plus: a legendary band is teasing something nobody expected, Slash has big news, one of the best heavy bands around got a major TV moment, and apparently Christmas needs horror metal now.
