Modernized Nippon Otis TOUCH SENSITIVE Traction Elevators at the ANA Crowne Plaza in Osaka, Japan

Filmed on June 30th, 2025. Here's ANOTHER Set of Newer Otis Touches in Osaka, these ones being at another IHG hotel in the city across the river and down a few blocks from the RIHGA which has very similar elevators to these! Similarly to the RIHGA, these were originally Vintage Otis VIP-260s with Square Touch/Heat Sensitive Vacuum Tube buttons, just like the ones in the U.S. but modernized VERY Tastefully by Nippon Otis with Newer Touch Sensitive buttons that resemble the original ones in terms of their design! I'm not sure when these exact elevators were modernized, however I'm going to assume this was done probably in the 2000s as these have the indicator most commonly used in the 2000s by the Nippon Otis as seen in a few other places I went into with confirmed installation dates. In terms of fixtures, controllers and chimes, and even speed, these elevators are basically identical to the High Rise Tower Elevators at the RIHGA albeit with less fancy cabs, but these were still VERY NICE Elevators aesthetically so I don't really mean that in a bad way. These elevators are VERY VERY Smooth just like most Japanese elevators and overall both these elevators and this hotel look FAR more upscale than what you typically see in a Crowne Plaza in the U.S. Again, very nice elevators and definitely again cool to see that Otis Touch Sensitive is still being made overseas even with digital touch buttons and that these elevators kept the coolest feature about them when modded...Gotta love how Japan doesn't ban touch buttons in elevators unlike countries in the Western World...
