Welcome to Vignana Astrology – English Class 13. In this Vignana Astrology Course Class, Vinod opens a new playground where dragging the ascendant moves the navamsa and every divisional chart live, each sign's thirty degrees split into a hundred and fifty nadi amsas. He uses it to explain why divisional charts exist: the D1 gives the planetary position, but two people born five minutes apart share it without sharing the outcome, so each varga chart microscopes one area of the life. Vedic practice stops around D60, where the ascendant changes every two minutes; nadi work goes to D150, where it changes in under a second, and to D300, which separates twins. He then decodes a Deva Keralam verse. For a Taurus ascendant with Mars in the seventh and an exalted Mercury in the fifth sharing each other's stars, the book promises that the wife's elder brother will bring the native money and work abroad, and Vinod shows where that comes from: counted from the seventh, Mercury becomes the eleventh lord and so the wife's elder brother, while Mars as seventh and twelfth lord ties the marriage to foreign land. The middle of the class sorts out three terms the students had been using interchangeably. The first, fifth and ninth lords are the natural yoga karakas; a planet owning both a kendra and a kona is a raja yoga karaka, which is Saturn for Libra and Taurus; and a kona lord that is also a natural benefic is a visesha yoga karaka, which is where Mercury for Taurus belongs. Vinod accepts the 100 Days of Astrology material leaves the visesha concept out and says it needs correcting. The revision then catches a real misreading: a summary table gives own sign or exaltation for a Pancha Mahapurusha yoga without repeating that the planet must also sit in a kendra, and a student had worked from the table rather than the key points above it. Exaltation outside a kendra forms nothing. Vipareeta Raja Yoga follows: a dusthana lord sitting in the dusthana it owns is not a negative — nobody burgles you in your own home — so where the ninth house gives a visible route to money, the twelfth gives one with no ceiling. His own caution is that two dusthana lords together are tolerable but three breed greed, illustrated with the queen who dipped three times for her hair and lost all of it. The last stretch is doshas. Neecha Bhanga gets four cancellation routes — conjunction with the dispositor, conjunction with an exalted planet, a mutual exchange of debilitation signs, and that sign's lord being exalted — and such a native meets early hardship and succeeds late rather than being born to it. Chandra Mangala yoga is the Moon's mind with Mars's energy in a kendra — the ordinary person who lifts a car. Then the balarishta set, read by house number rather than sign, from Saturn in the first to Ketu in the twelfth — with the extension that the same dosha can form through a star lord, and that in his experience it does not confine itself to childhood. The class closes on the affliction a node brings by sharing a nakshatra with a planet, and the four houses that let a planet survive one: the eleventh, the second, the lagna and the tenth. A student's own chart tests it live, and Vinod shows a Malavya Mahapurusha yoga softening an afflicted Sun so completely that only those closest to the native see the ego underneath.
