We walk through the bullet-scarred historic gates like Jai Pol, and explore the gorgeous architecture of Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, and Sheesh Mahal. But the absolute highlight of our trip was a special cultural encounter inside the 500-year-old stone walls. While it was pouring rain outside, the local Rajasthani folk singers welcomed our family by performing our own home state Uttarakhand's iconic folk song—Bedu Paako Baro Masa!
