Most of the country leans toward less snow than normal this winter. Tennessee goes the other way. Every town in the state comes in at normal or above on my snow map, with up to about 20 percent more in East Tennessee and the Smokies. Last winter Nashville got less than an inch and a half of snow and an ice storm instead, so for Tennessee this winter comes down to snow or ice. This is my whole winter forecast for the state in one place: the temperatures, your first snow, how much snow your town gets, and the one thing that could turn it into a big winter. If I'm wrong about your town, measure it and prove it: I'm grading this map in March. 0:00 Tennessee goes the other way 1:27 Why: a strong El Niño 1:56 How cold Tennessee gets 2:33 When your first snow comes 3:17 A white Christmas? 3:37 How much snow Tennessee gets 5:46 Why I give you a range 6:17 The polar vortex wild card 7:17 Your town's number on yallsnow.com 7:52 The Y'all-O-Meter Your town's exact range: https://yallsnow.com Grab a Y'all-O-Meter for 15% off with the code SNOW15 at https://yallsnow.com Y'all-O-Meter $1,000 snow photo contest, official rules (no purchase necessary): https://ryanhallyall.com/yallometer-c...
