Australia's hidden drug problem - benzodiazepines

According to the Australian Bureau of statistics, the single biggest drug type implicated in drug-related deaths are actually benzodiazepines, or benzos, drugs which help with anxiety and sleeplessness. More than 1.5 million Australians were prescribed benzos last year. And now there are warnings they are being handed out too easily and for too long, sometimes with devastating effects.
