Awakened by Wolves Howling | Hot Tent Camping in Wolf Country | Part 1

Awakened by Wolves Howling | Hot Tent Camping in Wolf Country In this episode of Filming The Wild, I head back into the White Mountains of Arizona, deep in wolf territory, to camp out in my hot tent while searching for the elusive Mexican gray wolf. These wolves are one of the rarest predators in North America, and though they remain hidden, their presence is undeniable. As night falls, the forest comes alive with haunting howls all around us — a powerful reminder that we are truly in wolf country. Along the way, I share insights into wildlife tracking, setting up camp with the White Duck Outdoors Rover Scout, and testing out the new Winterwell stove. This adventure isn’t just about survival — it’s about the craft of wildlife filmmaking, the patience required, and the unforgettable moments that happen when you’re out in the wild.
