Ribera del Duero: Villages and Wines!

An escape, a brief bit of freedom, to the third prong of the holy trinity or 'Rs'. I did Rueda, I drank everything in Rioja and now it is the turn of an adventure around Ribera, Ribera del Duero. This wine region, not even two hours north of Madrid, is in the heartland of Castilla y Leon. As well as hundreds of kilometres of vineyards there is a dazzling array of towns, villages, castles and canyons. And we our best to visit as many as possible in just two days. A visit to Bodegas PradoRey and a night in their 16th century Posada added to the viticultural landscape.
