Always five minutes late. Keys in the fridge. 47 tabs open on your phone. Five hobbies in a cupboard. For years, Brian thought these were just personality quirks. Then a doctor gave all of them one name: ADHD.
This video is not a diagnosis. If you recognise yourself, talk to a doctor or psychologist.
Here are seven signs of ADHD that look like personality quirks. Count how many you have, and stay until number seven: it's the one almost nobody connects to ADHD.
The seven signs:
1. You're always a little late (time is either "now" or "not now")
2. Your things are never where you left them (working memory)
3. 47 tabs open, and you're not reading them (they're reminders)
4. Five hobbies, all in a cupboard (new = big reward, week three = nothing)
5. Twelve hours of focus, just not on what matters (hyperfocus)
6. You lose words mid-sentence (the thing you put soup in)
7. One small comment ruins your whole day
One or two? Welcome to being human. Most of them, and since you were a kid? Talk to a professional and bring examples. Your quirks are data. And whatever the answer is: it's not a character flaw. It's a brain that works differently.
Your mission: tell me your score in the comments. Brian got 7/7. Obviously.
October is ADHD Awareness Month. On Wednesday: how Brian found out he has ADHD.

The signs are common ways ADHD shows up in adults (time blindness, working memory, novelty seeking, hyperfocus, word-finding, strong emotions). No study is cited, and nothing here replaces an assessment by a professional.
Brian's Brain is an animated series about a brain that won't cooperate. Just like yours. For education and entertainment, not medical advice.
