Echoes in Araya | 原田郁子「青い、森、、」

2020年5月、コロナが広がっていく中、 熱のこもった「はじめまして」のメールと、映画「青い、森」を拝見して、 エンディングテーマをつくることをお引き受けしました。 In May 2020, as the COVID pandemic was spreading,I received a heartfelt email—our very first exchange.This message led me to watch the film Aoi, Mori (Blue Forest),and before I knew it, I had agreed to write its ending song. 「青い、森、、」は、私にとって、はじめて宅録でつくった曲でもあります。 時間だけはあったので、あーでもない、こーでもない、と録音していって、 だんだんと、音の中で、解放されていくのを感じました。 Blue Forest became the first piece I ever recorded entirely at home.With plenty of time on my hands,I layered sound upon sound, experimenting with different approaches.Gradually, through the music, I felt something within me set free. 時は流れて、 井手内監督と内山監督が、新たな映像作品をつくりました。 Some time has passed since then, and now directors Ideuchi and Uchiyama have returned with a new film. 深い森と河の流れは、映画の撮影ではいけなかった「青森」で撮影されています。 This time,the deep forest and flowing river were captured in Aomori—a place they couldn’t visit during the first shoot. We wander, forgetting what matters most. Yet sometimes, we long to pause, to truly stop and feel. To touch the flowing water, to let ourselves be carried away like water, and, in this moment, see what lies beyond us. I hope this work resonates with you in a similar way. Takuya Uchiyama ＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝ 映画を創り終わってからもずっと、彼はどこへ行ったのだろうかと思いを馳せていた。答えの無い問いに落ち込んでいたある日、改めて楽曲を聴いた私は詩が背中を優しく押してくれている事に気が付いた。本作で改めて一人青森へ赴き、春の光に美しく輝く川に足を踏み入れた瞬間、確かに何かに触れたことを私は恐らく一生忘れない。 井手内創（いでうちそう） Even after the film was made, I found myself wondering—where had he gone? One day, lost in this question with no answer, I revisited this song. In its verses, I felt a gentle push from the back guiding me forward. I had traveled back to Aomori once again for this project. When I stepped into the river, reflecting the beautiful spring light, I knew—something had moved me. A moment I will never forget.
