Thank you for the support! Tonight on The Retro Keep, this 50 year old man is playing Golden Axe on the Sega Genesis while everybody’s asleep! But after what happened at the end of the last episode, I may have a bigger problem than Death Adder… there are Gremlins running wild around here! In While Everybody’s Asleep: Episode 8, I’m taking on the Sega Genesis version of Golden Axe, the classic fantasy beat ’em up from SEGA. I’ll battle my way through Death Adder’s army, ride some beasts, swing an axe, use a little magic, and hopefully survive long enough to get my plans for world domination back on schedule. Of course, that might be difficult considering I made the brilliant decision to feed my Mogwais after midnight in Episode 7. Golden Axe is one of the most recognizable games from the early Sega Genesis era, bringing the arcade-style action home with warriors, magic, skeletons, thieves, and plenty of enemies begging to get hit with an axe. So grab some coffee, turn the lights down, and join me for another late-night trip into retro gaming.
