Kielder Forest. £5 entry. That’s less than a coffee, or a pint. Everyone talks about green lanes and TET routes, but they’re not always easy to find — and not always beginner friendly either. This is something simpler. We took the bikes out, ran some gravel, pushed a little further… and found the limit pretty quickly. If you’ve been thinking about getting off-road but don’t know where to start, this is probably it. Nothing extreme.
