Valtellina valley ride (part 3/3) - Tirano to Bormio - Italy - road SS 38

Here is the last part of the ride through the Valtellina valley along the road SS38 "dello Stelvio" riding my Yamaha Stryker in the company of my friend on his Harley Davidson. This third video begins near the town of Tirano and the ride goes up through the valley reaching Bormio the popular winter sports resort. The Valtellina is a valley in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, bordering Switzerland. Today it is known for its ski center, hot spring spas, bresaola, cheeses and wines. In past centuries it was a key alpine pass between northern Italy and Germany and control of the Valtellina was much sought after, particularly during the Thirty Years' War. Enjoy the ride!
