Conversation with Miguel Rocha, PuroClean of Lakeville - The Mitigation Handbook Podcast

From Corporate Career to Restoration Owner with Miguel Rocha | The Mitigation Handbook Podcast EP12 Miguel Rocha spent his career in the corporate world, at U.S. Bank and Mortenson Construction, before the phones turned on at PuroClean of Lakeville in March 2025. Early on, sitting in an airport on the way home from a certification trip with Bob's book in his bag, he got a call about a mold problem. He read the mold section, walked the job the next morning at 8 AM, and it turned into a $32,000 job. You'll hear how Miguel went from white-collar work to owning a franchise south of the Twin Cities, why Bob says this business takes a heart for people, how the PuroClean brand ambassador program helps people who are thinking about buying a franchise, how Miguel uses the book for training and for insurance work with Xactimate codes, why he calls his approach white glove service, and what's next for him, including air quality testing and maybe a mold-sniffing dog. Bob also talks about his plan to train new owners on field procedures at new owner events. The Mitigation Handbook is Bob's field guide for new restoration and mitigation owners, written for people who come into the industry without a restoration background.
