Hi folks, here is part one of a two part tutorial showing you how I created the backing tracks for my cover version of OMD's Enola Gay using my Roland JD-Xi.
Some extra information to go along with this tutorial...
Tempo 72 BPM Scale setting: 1/32
Sequence 1
Drum 018: 808&909 Kit 1
Perc 3: 1, 3, 9, 11 (first and second 16 notes of the sequence pattern)
SD1: 5, 13 (first and second 16 notes of the sequence pattern)
SD4: 7, 15 (reduce the level) (first and second 16 notes of the sequence pattern)
Perc5: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 (second 16 notes of the sequence pattern)
Save with SHIFT + WRITE press ENTER use PROGRAM PATTERN VALUE +/- to select a memory eg E01 and press ENTER AGAIN
Note: see manual if you want to name the sequence

Analogue 032: Celoclip 1 (+3 octaves - Two Osc - Reduce cut-off - only reverb)
Notes: F,D,F,E,F,D,F,E,F,D,F,E,F,D,G,E
Record with the Step Rec
THEN CHANGE THE SEQUENCE FROM ONE MEASURE TO FOUR MEASURES - WITH COPYING!
Drum 018: 808&909 Kit 1 (same as sequence 1)
Additional Drums on last 16 notes of Sequence 4 (number 8 light will be lit)
BD2: 1,5,9,11,13,15
SD3: 1,5,9,11,13,14,15,16
Digital 1 159: Picked Bass
Play the following notes and in the pattern described...
F (Dah da da da da da da Dah da da da da da da)
D (Dah da da da da da da Dah da da da da da da)
Bb (Dah da da da da da da Dah da da da da da da)
C (Dah da da da da da da Dah Dah da da da da)
Record with the Real Time Rec
Save with SHIFT + WRITE press ENTER use PROGRAM PATTERN VALUE +/- to select a memory eg E02 and press ENTER AGAIN
