Worden's ledges are a part of the Hinckley Reservation, which is maintained by Cleveland Metroparks. The ledges get their name from the nearby Worden family homestead, and are known for several carvings faces, symbols, and objects in the sandstone. The Worden family maintains that the carvings were done in the 1940's and 50's by a relative, Noble Stuart. The ledges themselves and the surrounding forest provide an an enchanting feel to the area, and the carvings add to it. The short 1 mile hike to the ledges begins where the Worden Homestead was previously located. The trail is a nearly straight double track path that takes hikers through a fully wooded area. The trail then forms a loop around the ledges, leading hikers back to the straight path to the trailhead. Ledges Lake is approx. a half mile west of Worden's Ledges. It provides a relaxing spot for contemplation, and has picnic areas, playground equipment, and a recreational pool.
