Its 38 coastal countries and island states rack up a total coastline of about 30 500 kilometres (18 950 miles) in length, and boast some of the most beautiful and untouched beaches on Earth.
10. Ilha Caldeira, Mozambique
This private island off the coast of Mozambique is earmarked for being next year's ultimate barefoot luxury escape.
