North Island Adventure Fall 2026 ~ Ep. 1 Campbell River Area

This is the first episode of our North Island Adventures! This fall we are headed off exploring the north half of Vancouver Island. We start out visiting the absolutely stunning Oyster River Potholes, located a short walk from the side of the highway in Comox. We enjoyed watching the spawning salmon and sitting next to the mind blowing holes that all along this stretch of the river. Then on to Campbell River for a stay at Elk River Falls Provincial Park and then a free BC Hydro Campsite at Upper Campbell Lake Resivoir. Upper Campbell lake campground is free year round, has nice clean outhouses and garbage disposal year round! Its nice to have to option to stay for free so close to town. Stay tuned for our next episode, this is just the launching point for some pretty incredible, off the beaten path adventures!
