Christians are first and foremost citizens of heaven. As such we should love what God loves and hate what God hates. The problem is when we get our citizenry mixed up. It would be weird for you not to know where you came from, or what country you had citizenship in, but as Christians we often forget where our true citizenship lies. When we act like this world is our “home” we become angry, frustrated and self-centered. The reason being is because we have put our hope in things that can never completely satisfy or make us safe. As citizens of heaven, we have to remember that Jesus saved us so that we could have an eternal home with Him in heaven, but currently He is to be our sole/soul satisfaction.
