How to Make Seamless Pattern Swatches from Stroked Designs in Adobe Illustrator

You can create Seamless Pattern Swatches from almost ANY design - even ones with strokes around their outside edges. All you need is a well-placed Bounding Box, and Adobe Illustrator will do the rest. In this tutorial, Susan Rutledge demonstrates how to successfully make and use a Bounding Box, as well as showing how to scale, rotate and move Pattern Swatches that have already been applied to objects.
