SPS Officers appeal denied

A last ditch effort by two former Saskatoon police officer to have their appeal heard has been struck down. The officers were fired from the force last year after an investigation into an off-duty house party. The pair unsuccessfully appealed their termination in court of King's Bench. They're lawyer Steve Seiferling intended to appeal that decision. But through error, the appeal was not submitted to the office of the police Commission, as required. Rather it was sent to police union and the police chief, by mistake. By the time the mistake was realized, the 30 day window had passed. The commision saying it was no longer able to appoint a hearing officer.
