𝑶𝑳𝑫 𝑻𝑰𝑴𝑬 𝑺𝑷𝑶𝑶𝑲𝒀 𝑺𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑶𝑵 | Dark Old Time Radio Broadcasts

Tonight, Radiowave Nostalgia takes us back to 1954 for another long Spooky Season night on the road. Our companion is a classic 1950s Ford convertible, beginning high above a quiet small American town, where the lights glow far below beneath a clear autumn sky. Later, we’ll drive down to a lonely roadside gas station for fuel and something to eat before making our final stop at an old motel surrounded by autumn trees. Along the way, Old Pete has selected six dark broadcasts, all originally aired in 1954, from six different old time radio programs. Tonight’s broadcasts: 00:00 Intro 01:30 Suspense — “The Outer Limit” — February 15, 1954 26:00 Escape — “The Scarlet Plague” — April 8, 1954 48:00 Nightmare — “The Hybrid” — April 14, 1954 — hosted by Peter Lorre 1:11:40 Crime Classics — “Jean Baptiste Troppmann: Killer of Many” — February 17, 1954 1:40:00 The Whistler — “Dark Pattern” — June 13, 1954 2:02:10 Barrie Craig, Confidential Investigator — “Ghosts Don’t Die in Bed” — September 7, 1954 2:29:30 Outro From strange encounters and deadly outbreaks to murder, ghosts, and psychological suspense, tonight’s lineup was selected especially for our journey through The 1954 Spooky Season. Turn down the lights, get comfortable, keep the radio close, and join Old Pete for another autumn night of classic old time radio.
