Khamisi Juma MWAVWIKO is a Digo from Kaya Likunda. He hails from the Wachinanyiro clan. He talks about the origins of the Kayas particularly Kaya Kinondo, which was originally called Kaya Ngalani. It is the largest Kaya of all the Digo Kayas. In this Part 1 of the video, he takes us through the origins and migratory patterns of the Mijikenda and their neighbours. He also highlights soe of the economic activities of the Digo as part of the Mijikenda.
