Nationwide Manhunt Suspect accused of Hideous Crime Arrested by Arkansas State Police

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The search for a Massachusetts man wanted in connection with the rape and assault of a child ended this week in Arkansas. Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, Arkansas State Police stopped a westbound Dodge Charger for a traffic violation on Interstate 40 at the 156-mile marker. ASP learned that the driver, 36-year-old Elmer Alvarado-Lopez, was wanted on a nationwide warrant. According to Thursday’s news release, he is wanted in Lynn, Mass., on two counts of rape of a child under 16 by force and two counts of indecent assault and battery upon a child under 14. Alvarado-Lopez is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
