Relaxing Palette Knife Painting ASMR: Watch as I create a vibrant painting of Evening Fishing using oil paint, palette knife, and a little bit of brushing. Timestamps are below if you want to skip to your favorite part! Along the way I share my process in soft spoken commentary. Enjoy the painting session with headphones to hear the drawing sounds and palette knife scraping, scratching, and mixing on board. This one started with a photo my mom sent me, taken just after sunset. No sun left in the sky, and I decided not to add one. I wanted to keep it quiet and let the silhouettes carry it: the sailboat, the mast, the fishing rods at different angles, the people relaxing on the shore. There's something about that kind of contrast that feels expressive without needing much else. I worked dark to light over a few sessions, starting with the shadow shapes on a maple board, then coming back in with oranges and blues for the sky and water. The figures stayed as silhouettes mostly, though I tried to let a little color mix in so they weren't completely flat. The last pass was all foreground: grasses coming through the sand, a little more texture and dimension down low to lead the eye in. I kind of wish I could have gotten more detail into some of it, but I think that would have needed a different start, so I let it be. Want to give this painting a home? It’s a calming, sometimes tingling sensation people may experience in response to gentle stimuli, like soft sounds, whispering, or repetitive actions. Whether or not you experience ASMR in any specific way, these types of videos provide an opportunity to unwind, relieve stress, and experience a calming presence. Some people also enjoy them for tinnitus relief. I create no talking and soft spoken ASMR art videos with the goal of enjoyable sound quality and an unintentional ASMR feel. I want these ASMR videos to offer a comfortable, relaxing, and soothing experience, with a genuine, natural style. In my earlier recordings, I mostly set up the camera and audio recording gear, forget about them, and get into the drawing and painting. Now I sometimes speak a little, sharing my thought process along the way. Check the playlist section if you prefer one style over the other. Each video I make has subtle variations that happen as a natural part of this process. In this collection so far, there are different styles of brushwork, palette knife techniques, foam brush painting, charcoal drawings, each with different amounts of background white noise, hum of traffic, and even some with real rain sounds. -- Recording Info: Audio - Zoom H6e with Rode NT2A Microphones - Binaural/Stereo Sound Video - iPhone 15 Pro -- #asmr #asmrsoftspoken #asmrpainting #asmrdrawing #asmrart #asmrartist #asmrbackground #asmrambience #paintingasmr #asmrsounds #asmrbrushing #asmrtingles #asmrforanxiety #tinnitusrelief #asmrforfocus #sleep #sleepaid #sleepsounds #sleepbetter #bobross — Timestamps 00:00:00 - Well Hello 00:00:07 - Reference Photo 00:02:00 - Palette Knife - Mixing Initial Colors 00:04:11 - Layout Sketching with Palette Knife 00:12:23 - Brush Adjustments 00:13:28 - Sketching in People Fishing 00:20:51 - Knife Texturing 00:22:13 - Day 2 - Palette Knife, Mixing Up A Bunch of Colors 00:32:05 - Brushing to blend and soften some colors 00:38:12 - Paper Towel Adjusting Treeline 00:38:31 - Brush 00:39:05 - Palette Knife, Painting the Water 00:49:06 - Small Brush Adjustments 00:54:48 - Palette Knife - Mixing Dark for Fishing Rods 01:08:47 - Day 3
