BAJA 400 RECAP | GL27 VANGUART RACING Our first Baja podium and both trucks across the finish line. The Baja 400 was a week to remember for GL27 Vanguart Racing. Gerard Lopez brought home second place in Trophy Truck Legends, while Rob MacCachren finished fifth behind the wheel of the team’s new all-wheel-drive Brenthel Trophy Truck. Having an off-road legend like Rob join the GL27 program made this race even more special as we continue building the team and developing our AWD program. From pre-running and final preparations to the pit stops and long hours on race day, this result took a full team effort. Baja tested us, but the crew kept working through every challenge to get both trucks home. This recap takes you through the week—the preparation, the racing, and the people behind it all.
