On Toy Pianos - Episode 1: Goldon

This video is the start of series on an instrument that has fascinated me for a long time - the acoustic toy piano. What interests me about toy pianos is that they sound innocent, yet they can easily morph into sinister. Their basic sound is simple, naive, yet due to the stresses of time most toy pianos drift into their own, off-key tuning, with no way that I know of retuning. Each toy piano sounds unique, even from the same manufacturer. Sadly, these instruments are dying out, as the process of playing them also destroy them, with no service available. So with this series I hope to capture some of their magic.
