Conservation District Wildfire Programs: Jefferson Conservation District

NACD and the Jefferson Conservation District in Colorado take a look at the district’s wildfire and forest health programming. Jefferson Conservation District staff shared how the district approaches wildfire mitigation and forest health work, including the programs, partnerships, and projects that support conservation across private lands and the broader landscape. The presentation highlighted Jefferson Conservation District’s experience developing and delivering wildfire-related programs and provided an opportunity to hear directly from district staff about what has worked, challenges they have encountered, and lessons that may be useful to conservation districts and partners working on similar issues across the country.
