We visit locations in Normandy, France! Pointe Du Hoc, Utah Beach, and Normandy American Cemetery

Sunflower-Shores visited Normandy, France during our 11 Day ECLIPSE CRUISE aboard the Carnival Legend. During our Tour we visited the following places: 1st we went to where the U.S. Army Rangers attacked the sheer 100-foot cliffs at Pointe du Hoc along the Normandy coast in France on June 6, 1944, 2nd we went to Utah Beach which was the code name for the westernmost landing sector of the Allied amphibious invasion of German-occupied France on June 6, 1944 (D-Day) during World War II, and finally we went to The Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial which is located in Colleville-sur-Mer, France, on a bluff overlooking Omaha Beach. We used Viator for our tour. The driver and the tour guide were top notch. It was even better that it was just for our family.
