What is AI even good at?

The Doomer vs. utopia AI debate is missing the real point. Here's the middle ground that actually matters if you're building something today. The way I see it, AI is strong where humans feel like machines: data entry, research, sifting through hundreds of LinkedIn profiles to find leads that fit your ICP. That stuff is slow, tedious, and AI does it faster. But selling, holding a real conversation, reading a room, any task that needs a wide context window and genuine EQ, AI is genuinely bad at that right now. The system I'm building uses this split on purpose. AI finds and vets leads, drafts outreach, handles the grunt work, then hands off to a human the moment real conversation starts. That handoff is the whole point.
