Lotte Gretzler: The Versatile Prodigy Taking on the World

Meet Lotte Gretzler, one of Germany’s most versatile young track and field athletes. 🇩🇪 A former gymnast, Lotte combines the seven disciplines of the heptathlon with the speed, technique and courage required for pole vault. After finishing seventh in the heptathlon at the 2024 European U18 Championships, she began focusing more closely on the pole vault while continuing to develop as a multi-event athlete. Now competing for Princeton University, Gretzler improved her pole vault personal best to 4.22 metres during the 2026 collegiate season. She also earned silver at the German U20 Championships and was selected to represent Germany at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Oregon.
