Charvel Pro-Mod DK22 SSS | Modded Workhorse | Demo & Review

Welcome to Episode 11 of the Guitar Vault Archive! Today we are taking an in-depth look at one of my absolute top go-to guitars in the vault—the 2024 Charvel Pro-Mod DK22 SSS 2PT CM Mahogany with Figured Walnut Top. From its lightweight mahogany body and satin open-pore walnut top to the caramelized maple speed neck with rolled fingerboard edges, this guitar is an effortless player. We also dive into a key mod: replacing the stock Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge with a Seymour Duncan Little '59 to cure the nasal midrange and achieve the perfect tonal balance with the Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coils. 🎸 TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - Tahoe's Lazy Stretch Intro 🐕 0:10 - Performance Track Demo 1:06 - Welcome & The Longest Model Name Ever 😂 1:27 - Why It’s a Top 3 Go-To Instrument 1:38 - Body Specs: Mahogany Dinky Body & Figured Walnut Top 2:15 - Gotoh Custom 510 Tremolo Bridge 2:22 - Controls: 500K EVH Bourns Volume & No-Load Tone 3:04 - 5-Way Switching & Seymour Duncan Pickups Overview 3:13 - The Pickup Mod: Replacing Hot Rails with Little '59 (SL59-1) 3:31 - Middle & Neck: Seymour Duncan Flat Strat SSL-6 (RWRP Neck) 3:42 - Body Back: Mahogany Grain, Seam Check & Contoured Jack 4:18 - Shredder's Cut Heel & Neck Joint Access 4:31 - Caramelized Maple Speed Neck & Satin Finish Feel 4:55 - Heel-Mount Truss Rod Wheel & 22 Jumbo Frets 5:06 - 12"-16" Compound Radius & Rolled Fingerboard Edges 5:20 - Luminlay Side Dots & Bone Nut Upgrade 5:39 - Licensed Fender Headstock & Die-Cast Locking Tuners 5:58 - Volume at 7 Pickup Demo (Positions 1 to 5) 6:43 - Volume at 10 Pickup Demo (Positions 5 to 1) 7:22 - Overdrive / Distortion Pickup Demos 7:32 - Final Verdict: Playability, Tuning Stability & Mod Results 8:01 - What's Next: 2025 PRS 40th Anniversary Custom 24! 8:20 - Tahoe's Autumn Trail Walk Outro 🍂🐾 If you're enjoying this content, please LIKE, COMMENT, and SUBSCRIBE to support the archive! #Charvel #CharvelDK22 #CharvelGuitars #GuitarVaultArchive #AlpineChords #GuitarDemo #GuitarReview #SeymourDuncan #Gotoh510
